Summer Themed Client Gifts

There are lots of things we love about summer.    Summer vacations, long days, back yard BBQs with friends and family, just to name a few.  Another reason we love summer is that it is the perfect time to show our clients how much we appreciate them.  Summer is a great time to gift because you are not competing with all the otehr gifts around the holiday and summer-themed gifts can be a lot of fun to design.  

This year we wanted to send summer "go bags" to some of our clients to let them know we appreciate their business.  While a traditional go bag is designed for emergencies, we designed our "go bags" to be used for those amazing summer afternoons when it is just too nice outside to be in the office.

What to Include in Our Summer Themed Gifts for Clients?

As we started the design process we worked with these objectives in mind:

1. Include at least one keepsake item that would be used reguarly
2. Make the bag shareable with an emphasis on food and snacks
3. Stick to a summer asthetic with blues, reds and whites
4. Subtle use of our branding/logo

After a number of variations, we came up with a gift that checked all of our boxes.

Branded Gift Bags

For our gift packaging we setteled on a large jute tote bag with a navy blue satin ribbon, navy blue tissue paper and a Shadow Breeze branded gift tag.  We wanted the bag to be something that our clients might keep and use so we opted to only brand the gift tag and not the bag itself.

The main keepsake item in our gift bgs was the Owala 24 ounce insutaled water bottle.  When possible, we like including products from companies located in our home state of Utah.     We also included the "Thanks" Thoughtfulls cards to show our appreciation.

For snack items we included the Hawaiian Sea Salt Popcorn from another local company, Pop Art Snacks.  We also inluded chocolate chip cookies, butter toffee pretzels, and Freddie's honey cheddar snack mix.   Knowing that the bags would be traveling in the warm summer weather, we stayed away from any chocolate, gummies, or other items that might melt.

Branded Insert

An important part of any gift is the card or insert included with the gift.   This allowed us another opportunity to brand an item in the gift.     After expressing our appreciation, we had some fun with the summer afternoon "go bag" theme, encouraging them to sneak out of work and head to their favorite summer spot to enjoy some "me time."
