The Campaign

The Department of Administration & Finance for the State of Tennessee wanted to create a more engaging and consistent onboarding experience for new hires across the state.

The goal was to move beyond a standard welcome kit and deliver something that felt energetic, cohesive, and reflective of the state’s identity.

At the same time, the program needed to be simple to manage and flexible enough to support ongoing hiring at scale.

Solution

We designed a fully branded welcome kit that combines strong visual identity with practical, everyday items.

Each kit includes a custom Tennessee-branded box printed inside and out, along with a matching mug, notebook, media stand, coaster, pen set, and a sheet of bold Tennessee-themed stickers in red and blue.

To extend the experience beyond the physical gift, each box also includes a welcome flyer with QR codes that link directly to a personalized welcome video. This turns the unboxing moment into an interactive introduction, connecting new hires to the organization in a more engaging way.

The program is built for flexibility. Kits can be ordered one at a time or in bulk and are shipped directly to new hires as needed.
